Learning Outcome	Show empathy to patients and colleagues. Consider the impact of disfigurement and disability, including visual impairment, on the life of patients and their relatives. Make appropriate arrangements for support. Be an advocate for those with visual impairment, helping to combat the stigma potentially associated with it. Be aware of individuals and agencies that might provide support for professionals in difficulty.
