  • Take an accurate refractive history and perform focimetry.
  • Plan the optimum refractive outcome with a patient
  • Calibrate the biometry instrument.
  • Perform biometry and keratometry accurately and safely in a range of situations
  • Recognise an error in the biometry result and identify when it may need to be repeated.
  • Apply appropriate formulae.
