Intensive Four-Day Revision Course in the Basic Sciences for Ophthalmic Exams
Venue: UCL Institute of Ophthalmology
This four-day intensive revision course covers the major topics examined for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ FRCOphth Part I Fellowship and International Council of Ophthalmology’s Basic Science assessments. The course also includes theoretical optics and refraction, plus advice on exam techniques, taught by experts in the field (from UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, MoorfieldsEye Hospital, and other departments).

PART 2 FRCOPHTH REVISION COURSES

Oculus FRCOphth Part 2 Revision Course
Venue: Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre
Oculus is an intensive one-day revision course aimed at preparing candidates for the FRCOphth Part 2 clinical examination. The day comprises lectures, two mock OSCEs and one mock viva. OSCEs utilise actual patients and are assessed by consultants, many of whom act as examiners for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

REFRACTION CERTIFICATE REVISION COURSES

WOPEC Refraction Certificate Revision for Ophthalmologists
Venue: School of Optometry & Vision Sciences, Cardiff University
Two and a half days of intensive practical training. This event has successfully run for many years and occurs 5-6 weeks prior to RCO examinations. All aspects of the refraction certificate syllabus is covered by experienced and qualified tutors, in hands-on practical sessions and mock OSCEs, with individual feedback given.For further information please visit this link.
The Moorfields Refraction Course for Ophthalmologists
Venue: Moorfields Eye Hospital
The course consists of a series of lectures about the theory of refraction and prescribing; practical workshops; case studies; tutorials including lens neutralisation, retinoscopy (dry and cycloplegic), subjective  refraction and prescribing.The mock OSCE includes a 10 station exam, as per the Royal College of Ophthalmologists format, with critique and feedback.

London Refraction Course
Venue: South West London, Imperial Wharf
Bespoke refraction course run by ophthalmology registrars who have been successful in the exams. Pre-course reading material will be included in the course with detailed explanation and top tips about how to score well in the refraction certificate. Suitable for keen foundation doctors with an interest in ophthalmology and ophthalmology trainees. Small group tuition with ample opportunities to practice in a relaxed environment. No prior refraction experience necessary

Refraction & Optics for Ophthalmologists
