The Peter Barry ESCRS Fellowship

Applications are invited for this very prestigious fellowship which commemorates the enormous contribution made by the late Peter Barry to cataract and refractive surgery and the ESCRS.

This annual Fellowship is for 50,000 euros to allow a trainee to work aboard at a center of excellence in the field of cataract and refractive surgery any where in the world for 1 year.

Applicants must be under 35 years of age and from a geographic European country and  have been ESCRS members for 3 years by the time of starting the Fellowship.

They must submit a CV, not more than 2 pages of A4 outlining where they want to go and why, a letter of support from their present Head of Department and a letter from the host institution indicating their acceptance if their application is successful

The Fellowship will be awarded at the summer ESCRS meeting in Lisbon 2017 to start in 2018.
