Election of regional representatives to Council

11 April 2017

Council members are elected by the Fellows and Members in their region on a three-year term and elections were held recently for those terms of office that were up for renewal; regional representatives can stand for a second term however. All new representatives will officially take up their posts after the AGM meeting, held at Congress 2017.

Dr Andrew Pyott, (Scotland East) and Mr Soupramanien Sandramouli (West Midlands) were elected for a second term unopposed.

With no new nominations for Eire, Miss Louise O’Toole has agreed to continue in the interim.

Mr Graham Duguid (North West Thames) and Mr Benjamin Burton (East Anglia) are newly elected representatives, taking over from Miss Melanie Corbett and Mrs Bridget Hemmant respectively in May.  We thank Melanie and Bridget for their years of service and wish Graham and Benjamin good luck in their new roles.

Mohit Gupta has been elected as Honorary Secretary and will take over his role in May.  This led to a new vacancy and following a ballot Mr Pankaj Puri was elected as the new representative for Trent.

Your Regional Representative are there to represent your views and raise local issues to Council.
