The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers – Ruskell Medal and Masters Medal 2017

The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers’ Ruskell and Masters medals are now open for application for 2017,
The Ruskell Medal will be awarded to the first named author of the best paper in ophthalmology or visual science for studies undertaken within the UK and published between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2017.
The Masters Medal will be awarded to the best first “first author” publication which contributes to the advancement of optometry or physiological optics and published between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2017.

One copy of the publication to be considered should be forwarded by email to clerk@spectaclemakers.com, by 17:00. Friday 14 July 2017 together with a covering letter giving full details of the entrant.
The winner will then be invited to attend the Company’s Court Luncheon at Apothecaries’ Hall on Wednesday 4 October 2017 to receive the medal and purse.
