Important roles available on the Education Committee

4 May 2017

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists is currently recruiting for several important new roles for the Education Committee.

The education and healthcare environment has changed rapidly in recent years, creating many new opportunities for ophthalmology and the education services that the RCOphth provides to our members.

To meet these changes, the Education Committee is developing working groups that will focus on the following areas of education:

  • Early Career
  • Career Development
  • Specific Roles
  • Educational Materials

Within these groups, a team made up of the new and existing roles, will develop and deliver high quality resources, events and support which may then be cascaded locally to the regions.

If you want to make a real difference, are enthusiastic about educating ophthalmologists in all four nations and want to help to establish the working groups, then please apply for the following roles:

  • Undergraduate and Foundation (U&F) Lead
  • New Consultants Lead
  • Mentoring and Buddying (M&B) Lead
  • Training the Trainers (TTT) Sub-committee Chair
  • Service Managers Lead
  • Multi-Professional Lead
