Calling all budding trainee editors – College News needs you!

The post of Editor for the ophthalmologists in training pages of College News is now open for application. If you are interested in sharing topical and creative insights into the clinical and professional world of trainees with the wider ophthalmology community, then this is the role for you.

The editor’s job is to source editorial content for a double page spread once a quarter for College News with the aim of informing, raising discussion or highlighting achievements of ophthalmologists in training. The role will help to foster good editorial and communication skills. The post holder will do this in collaboration with the Ophthalmologists in Training Group of the College.

The post is for a minimum of five editions, starting with the April 2018 edition (deadline 2 March 2018) and ending with the January 2019 edition. The College would like to thank Mukhtar Bizrah for his sterling work as ‘Trainee Editor’ over the last year in providing news-worthy articles working with his colleagues.

Applications are now open and will close on 28 February 2018. All you need do is send in a 400 word statement about why you would be suited to the role of editor to Liz Price, Communications Manager at liz.price@rcophth.ac.uk.
