RCOphth recruiting for Curriulcum Subcommittee members to deliver new OST Curriculum

20 March 2018

The College is committed to delivering a new Curriculum for Ophthalmic Specialist Training (OST) by 2020 as part of the GMC reform agenda. This represents an opportunity to produce a curriculum that can be delivered in the current NHS climate whilst continuing to drive excellence.

We are seeking three new members to join the current Curriculum Sub-committee, to be involved with the redevelopment of learning outcomes, workplace-based assessments and supervisor reports.

The College is especially keen to hear from College Tutors. Applicants are not required to have previous experience in drafting curricula, but an active interest in education and familiarity with the current curriculum is an advantage.

The opportunity is open to all Consultants working in the UK. The Sub-committee meets according to demand, usually about three times a year. The new Members will be expected to be involved in email correspondence and drafting and refining proposed curricular work.

Applications forms, along with abridged CVs, should be submitted via email to vanna.fadda@rcophth.ac.uk .  Further information is available on request.

Deadline for applications is 17.00, 13 April 2017.
