RCOphth President responds to the Dr Bawa-Garba Court of Appeal ruling

17 August 2018

On 13 August the Court of Appeal overturned the previous decision to remove Dr Bawa-Garba from the medical register. Clearly, there are no winners in such a tragic case. There are many lessons to be learned, both by professional organisations and individuals. Hopefully, the final outcome will be better and safer care for patients.

President, The Royal College of Ophthalmologists
