British Council for Prevention of Blindness grants available for application

The British Council for Prevention of Blindness (BCPB) was established in 1976 as a registered charity to fund scientific research into blindness prevention and sight restoration. BCPB funds both UK-based and overseas research into the causes of blindness throughout the world.

Grants are offered for research projects that further the goals of ‘VISION 2020: The Right to Sight’, in the following categories:

  1. Fellowships leading to the award of PhD or MD – up to £63,333 per year over 2 or 3 years.
  1. Research grants – up to £60,000
  1. Research Mentorship Awards – up to £15,000
