President Election 2017 – Your vote is important!

Voting for the next President of the RCOphth opened Monday 1 November 2016 and closes Monday 28 November.
The President is an ambassador for the College, frequently meeting with senior Government and Department of Health officials, industry leaders and allied health professionals. The position is a leadership role for ophthalmology which demands vision and energy to keep ophthalmology matters relevant within health policy.
All current Fellows and Members in good standing are eligible to vote. Ballot papers have been sent out electronically to those with email addresses and will shortly be arriving by post to those without one.
Seven candidates have put themselves forward for the role of College President. Members of the College can view the candidates’ statements and cast their vote via this link.
In May 2017, at the Colleges’ AGM held at RCOpth Congress, Professor Carrie MacEwen will officially hand over to the newly elected President.
