Nominations for 2022 RCOphth Honorary Fellows Opens

22 September 2021

Members of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) are invited to submit nominations for Honorary Fellowships for 2022. The award of Honorary Fellow is the highest accolade that the College can bestow. It recognises those who have made a significant contribution to the field of ophthalmology.

Eligible individuals can be from any field of ophthalmic science, research or medicine or a member of the general public. Their work should have inspired, contributed to or made an impact in the field of ophthalmology and the wide eye health sector.

The highly respected award is made to only one or two individuals each year, with the honour conferred at the Admissions Ceremony held in September. View a list of current Honorary Fellows and the citations covering their achievements here.

Nominations process

Applications must be submitted by filling in this nomination form and returning to jo.longden@rcophth.ac.uk.

The closing date for applications is Friday 29 October 2021.

Applications are assessed by a panel who then provides a shortlist for the RCOphth Council in December 2021. Awards will be made in September of the following year.
