The Royal College of Ophthalmologists appoints new Vice President for Policy and Communications
Declan Flanagan, consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital, has been appointed as the new Vice President for Policy and Communications at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth). Declan will officially take up the post following the RCOphth AGM in May at this year’s Annual Congress in Glasgow. In this role Declan will support the RCOphth President
Governance Update
Council wishes to change the governance structure of the College by creating a Trustee Board to improve oversight of the financial and legal affairs of the RCOphth and by opening up electoral processes. We have obtained informal approval of the proposed changes from the Privy Council Office and can now proceed to the formal stage. Members
