Assessor	This learning outcome can be assessed by an appropriately trained theatre nurse. Feedback likely from: medical staff, Allied Health Professional (nurse, optometrist, orthoptists)

Overview	Understand by what routes the operative field could become contaminated and what can be touched safely when scrubbed. Know what to do in the event of a needle stick injury to yourself or one of the team. Get regular feedback on your aseptic techniques.
