Amended Intravitreal Injection Therapy Guidance – re. air change rates
The RCOphth released its updated guidance on intravitreal injections in May 2018, having followed the usual methodology of literature review and expert consensus opinion including expert microbiologists from Moorfields Infection Control Committee and the Royal College of Pathologists (Chair of the RCPath Microbiology Specialist Advisory Committee). New PHSO clinical standard
The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) has introduced a new clinical standard – the Ombudsman’s Clinical Standard. For complaints about NHS clinical care and treatment in England, PHSO aims to establish what would have been good clinical care and treatment in the situation complained about and whether what actually happened fell short of that.
Second Prospective Annual Report of the NOD Audit Published
The second prospective National Ophthalmology Database (NOD) Audit report on cataract surgery performed in England and Wales during the 2016 to 2017 audit year was published on 9 August 2018.
