Overview	Get the balance right between acceptance of responsibility on one hand and working beyond the limits of your competence on the other. Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses and what you should do when you are uncertain about how to proceed with a patient. Make every uncertain situation a learning opportunity – learn from advice you are given and read up about the problem. Be honest with patients where their management is uncertain.
